Risk and Trading Robots for small and midsize Companies

 With regards to our strong believe and our experience we identified two major advise:

1. Trading decisions should not be delegated to fear and greed driven human traders but should be done by emosions free robots driven by algorithms which passed profound backtesting.
2. Continuity of fund performance should not depend on fluctuations wihtin head count. Especially when loosing a high performing trader many smaller hedge funds loose money under management too.
3. Risk management must be realtime and not depending on Excel spread sheets but by robots with sound algorithms

 We know that many small and midsize Hedge funds and asset management companies are reluctant to start the development and maintenance of their own trade robot and risk management plattform because they fear the costs involved and regard the effort too high as their is no guarantee of success. At the same time it is still very common to act long only as short positions are regarded to be too risky.

We developed a highly sophisticated toolbox that provides you with  a trade robot plattform with proven track record based on long short strategy that can be customized to your specific needs including realtime risk management and that can be easily integrated into most trading plattforms and establish interfaces to most common core business datases:

• Choose between a huge list of underlyings like equity index futures (USD, EUR, GBP), highly liquid single stocks (USD, EUR) or commodities (Base and precious, COMEX).
• Define any time horizon you are comfortable with e.g., minutes, hours, days or week. 
• Specify your risk appetite with regard of one trade
• Establish your own risk metric based on intraday, daily or weekly horizone
• Decide upon the maximum leverage with regards to several basis themes
• Create your own trigger signals where your traders can act upon or vote for a fully automated solution

• We are trading mostly small caps. Can you provide a solution for this? Maybe. Please contact our customer support. This needs to be discussed in depth. In any case this will need appropriate research first with regards to the calibaration needs. 
• We like to hold our position long time. Why do you limit to a week? We strongly vote against any initial setup exceeding a week because this does not match with low risk appetite.  Nevertheless even starting with an initial hourly bases the trends evolving thereof could last for months.
• Do you provide solutions for arbitrage strategies? No, we are dedicated to trend following strategies only.
• Can we customize the robot to smaller time scale? No, we do not provide any solutions for high frequency trading as we do not regard this as an appropriate tool for our customer range amid the technical provisions needed. Also micro trends in the sub minute level do not match our definition of "Trend".
• Can I specify different risk appetite for different underlyings? Yes, you may specifiy dedicated risk  appetite for each underlying. Plus, sometimes you must specify different risk appetite regarding on volatility and time horizone of the underlying choosen especially regarding commodities.
• Can I specify different leverage for different underlyings? Yes, you may specifiy the leverage per  underlying.
• Regarding single stocks, how do you create short positions? We i.e. our trade robot does not create "short positions" itself but only calculates and broadcasts trigger signals indicating that you should short the stock. It is up to you how you realize this whether by single stock futures or outright securities lending business etc. This is part of our intense analysis prior to start the project.

There is one very important fact that we like to mention. We are not selling the algorithm. But we sell the trigger signals only. These signals will be provided into your trading system as kind of market data. The algorithm it self is running on a secured 3rd party server. With regards to the architecture we can provide multiple solutions subject to negotiations.

The main principle of our business is that two customers do never trade on the same signals. This means when you decide to trade the same underlying as somebody else then you must choose a different time horizone. For further information please contact us.
